• Ballet

    Level 1 & 2 ballet classes are taken once per week, however all students need to take 2 ballet classes per week from Level 3 upwards. Ballet is the favourite style at our studio, which is great because it is the foundation for all other forms of dance. If you want to be an outstanding dancer in any style - you need good ballet training.  This year we are combining the ATOD ballet syllabus work with the magic and creativity of Once Upon a Ballet program.

  • Once Upon a Ballet

    I knew I had to find a magical and creative class for the students that had completed Ready Set Ballet and here it is.  Once Upon a Ballet is about creating amazing dance experiences with a strong technical foundation.  A program where the children want to come to class, week after week.  Children love Fairy Tales and this program includes a different Fairy Tale theme for each month of the year, danced to orchestral classical music.

  • Jazz

    Level 1 Jazz is combined with Level 1 Tap. Giving you the basics of the two styles. From Level 2, once the work starts to become a little more challenging, so each genre is given it's own class. In jazz you will warm up with cardio, work on technical exercises, stretch out and perform travelling steps coming down the room and learn dance routines.

  • Tap Dance

    From level 2, Tap is a seperate class.  This year we will be continuing on with Tapatak Oz, a uniquely Australian system of Tap training.  We love it!  We start to learn to count more complex rhythms and make music with out feet.  Kids love tap because it makes noise and we suggest parents provide a practice tap board at home.
     
     
     
     

  • Ready Set Dance

    It's really exciting that Ready Set Dance TV show is now on Nick Jnr, and there is probably some little 5 turning 6 year old dancers that could move into Level 1 Jazz & Tap, that would really like to be able to continue to take Level 2 Ready Set Dance, now that Ready Set Dance is their favourite TV show. 

    There's lots of new work that has been created for the TV show to learn so, if you would like to continue with Ready Set Dance, it would be a very cool thing to do.  Level 2 Ready Set Dance Classes will be held on Saturday morning and Wednesday afternoon.

  • All Inclusive Pricing includes: your dance class tuition, special members only events, all concert  performance rehearsals, costume hire for the Dancehouse concert and costume hire for any Dancehouse community performances, concert action photos, access to the concert performance videos, and reduced price concert tickets for you, your family and friends. 

    The Registration Fee covers: administration, music royalty fees, membership of the "Movitae" practice and inspiration portal, a beautiful medal for all concert participants and a welcome gift.

    Payment of Dance Class Tuition When you enrol at Dancehouse you enrol for the year, which is 40 weeks of classes.  Payment for class tuition is made in advance, fortnightly, per 4 weeks, per 10 weeks or per 20 weeks.  The semester (20 weeks) payment attracts a 10% discount.  All payments will be made through Integrapay, an Australian based payment solutions company.  Payments will be deducted from your nominated credit card or bank account.
